How to Use the Learning Packages

Each learning package includes materials for the professional development provider as well as the leaders-educators-learners.

Guidelines for professional development providers

  1. Become familiar with the Overview portions of each learning package.
  2. Become familiar with the Practice Profiles for each learning package.
  3. Provide the Collaborative Work Introduction & Overview Learning Package as an introduction to the process.
  4. Using the Collaborative Work Getting Started Guide, support educators in deciding where to begin and the sequence of learning through the learning packages.
  5. Recognize and commit to the full professional development experience which includes the training as well as follow-up in the teaching setting and ongoing coaching.
  6. Commit to collecting implementation data. Templates are provided to assist with data collection.  Use them.
  7. Because putting the professional development into practice requires persistence, work closely with a coach who can provide valuable feedback and guidance.
  8. Commit to Collaborative Work requirements.
