Self-Awareness
Self-awareness is the ability to think about yourself. Once students examine their thoughts, feelings, and actions they can set meaningful goals as well as choose appropriate supports. Self-awareness also helps students match their strengths and interests with courses, jobs, leadership opportunities, and leisure activities (Grote, Trusty, Chae & Bakley, 2014). As they learn the benefits of self-study, students can make active examination an ongoing process.
