Dr. Jenson and her team have been collaborating with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) since 2007. With repeated funding from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), State Personnel Development Grants (SPDG), the partnership between DESE and Jenson’s team has continued for over 15 years.

In 2012, the team adopted the name MoEdu-SAIL to encompass the ongoing research and professional development partnership with DESE. The website rolled out in the summer of 2013 and has been the go-to resource for professional development for Missouri educators.
